Care
Silk
Natural silk shimmers and shines in any light. To make it serve you as long as possible, follow these simple recommendations:
- Washing, we recommend dry cleaning.
- Iron clothes inside out at temperatures up to 110°C to prevent the material from fading. The silk must be dry and the steam function on the iron must be turned off. If you use a steamer, choose a mode with minimal steam supply.
- Carry bags and jewelry carefully; they can leave snags on thin material.
- Silk clothing should fit loosely around your silhouette when you move or sit. This will protect the fabric from deformation at the seams and extend the life of your favorite item.
Knitwear
Knitted jersey is an element of everyone’s basic wardrobe; cozy and warm clothes from ABITOROSSO will last you much longer if you follow our care recommendations.
- Washing, knitted items are washed at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, and especially delicate items are dry cleaned.
- When washing by hand, dissolve the detergent in cool water, and then gradually wet the knitwear, while washing very carefully without damaging the fibers of the fabric.
- For machine washing, use gel and not powder, set to delicate mode and spin to 600 rpm.
- Dry the product on a flat horizontal surface in a warm room without direct sunlight, away from radiators and heaters.
- After washing, do not hang the knitwear on hangers so as not to deform its shape. If the item does stretch out, on your knees or elbows, lay it out on a horizontal surface and steam. Also, for storage, choose a folding method on a horizontal surface, on shelves in the dressing room, to avoid pulling out the product.
Peelability of knitwear
Pillies are pills on knitwear. The thinner the knitwear, the higher its class, and the slower they form. Thick and fluffy knitwear, which contains wool in addition to cashmere, can form pillies faster. Since fabrics with lint can pill faster due to friction against rough surfaces, such as hard bag straps or car seat belts.
Proper pill removal:
* Remove pills with a machine or use a comb to remove them, but if you want to spend a minimum of time on this, go to a dry cleaner, where they will do it quickly and safely.
